Camille Cortet's transformation line is wicked cool  http://camillecortet.com/
See for yourself

This part of the project is about transformations that lead to the creation of adornments.
By observing animals’ transformations we understand animals’ behaviours that we can connect with and that we would like to have from them. These animal’s behaviours are inspirations for our own transformations.
Thus, we start a process of transformation.
My process to create these animal inspired behaviours is led by 3 stages : copying - merging - and translating. The translation  stage, is about adapting this behaviours to our culture. It is a way to create new gestures and new body languages within clothing and ornaments.
We can resume this process as designing by connecting with the animal.  We translate the animal’s beauty and finally merge with its behaviour,  almost to the point of embodying it.
This part is divided in 3 topics: the bird and seduction - the fish and shielding - the snake and molting.

● TRANSFORMATIONS ● ❛ Inspiration Book ❜ This book is a discovery of animal transformations in the animals’ culture and ours. It begins with an exploration of transformations in the animal realm. Through three main themes, GROWTH, SEDUCTION AND DISGUISES, we discover visual and sensorial changes, which are the basis of my research.  This analysis allows us to understand the physical, behavioural and social reasons, which are at the origin of such changes. Therefore we like to speak about THE CULTURE OF ANIMALS rather than the animal realm. In the second part of this book, ANIMALS AND CULTURE will be explored in a cultural analysis of human beings and their connection to the animal realm through transformations.  This chapter is divided into three themes, COPYING MERGING ‒ TRANSLATING.   By analysing cultural references and observing how we connect to the animal culture, this section proposes a process of creation applicable to design in our culture.  TRANSFORMATIONS explores the multiple possibilities used to rediscover the animal culture by translating it for our own cultural language in order to develop new means of expression through clothing and adornments.

❙ Slow-Water ❙

Water flows, escapes, leaks and disappears. We use water everyday, the amount of used water varies with the use and the awareness of each user. Slow water is an exploration into the experience of water use in daily life.
The sink is made out of concrete. The surface is nearly flat and waxed, the water flows down in the tiny hole in the center.
With a slow flow the water falls down quietly. Drops appear on the waxed surface, they fall slowly and disappear. If the flow is too intense, water overflows and is absorbed by the concrete on the sides. The tracks of water are appearing and marking the sink. Slow water tends to change the user habits by showing the beauty of water drops and slowness.

dutch design team studio roosegaarde recently teamed up with fashion designers maartje dijkstra and
anouk wipprecht to create the variable transparency intimacy dresses. these two dresses are made from
white and black e-foil, reacting to the presence of people by becoming transparent. the white intimacy
dress was made with dijkstra, while the black version was a collaboration with wipprecht. the dresses
are both made from a single flat sheet of material, cut into a pattern and fastened to give it volume.
the dresses intend to allow the wearer’s social interactions to determine the level of transparency.
the designers are also working on a bag to go with the dress and a pavilion.

Ok so I am kind of obsessed with lady gaga right now.  I saw her on David Lachapelle's website and the shoot he did of her for Rolling Stone and noticed but she really peaked my interest when I saw the full explicit version of the video she did with Beyonce called telephone (not video phone which I don't like all that much) but telephone rocks, she sings better than Madonna ever did and pulls so many cultural references from Mathew Barney to Barbie and Ms Piggy (see kermit the frog dress).  She is smart and articulate and awesome and I love her costumes so here are some of my favorite.

Lady Gaga is a performance artist with her choice of crazy costumes and outfits whenever she performs or makes public appearances. She is a walking art piece!

Lady Gaga's live performances are absolutely amazing, she pulls out all the stops and always aims to surprise her fans and tries to be totally unpredictable.

Lady Gaga's personal style is just as whacked out as her on stage persona, in fact its kind of hard to tell them apart!

Director Jonas Akerlund shot the Telephone video with Lady Gaga and Beyonce starring in it. The two pop divas looked sexy and fierce creating a fabulous team. But the most exciting part of the video is the fashion, styled by Nicola Formichetti with custom made outfits by Jean Charles de Castebaljac, Victor & Rolf, and Thierry Mugler. There are studs, crazy hats and animal prints galore, a feast for the eyes, in what looks like a very fun and stylish video.

Forget Best New Artist or Album of the Year, what we were most looking forward to at this year’s Grammy Awards was Lady Gaga‘s fashion ensembles and costume changes.

The moment the fashionista made her grand entrance on the red carpet, a frantic scurry ensued to find out who dressed the star. E! Red Carpet Correspondent Giuliana Rancichappen to be speaking with someone from theHouse of Gaga as the Lady arrived and looked stunned as the designer was finally revealed:Giorgio Armani Haute Couture. In fact, Giuliana asked twice just to be certain she heard correctly.
Lady Gaga, who was nominated for 5 Grammy Awards, was dressed exclusively in Giorgio Armani Privé for music’s big night.
Armani Prive, Spring 2010
Inspired by the 2010 collection?
Giorgio Armani said of the collaboration, “We hear Lady Gaga’s music everywhere we go. It is like a soundtrack of our times. In addition to her formidable songwriting skills, she is a modern fashion phenomenon. I am delighted to be creating these outfits on such an important night for her, the Grammys, and I wish her the best of luck.”
Her Gaga-ness didn’t disappoint fans, and curious onlookers, with several outfit changes throughout the night, all custom made by the Italian fashion designer.
As she hit the red carpet, Lady Gaga (real name: Stefani Germonatta) glided across the red carpet in a lilac iridescent Armani Privé confection, accessorized with jewel encrusted heel-less platform shoes. The celestial gown, which appears to be a version of a gown seen last week during Couture Fashion Week, was worn over a crystal-encrusted sheer bodysuit and paired with a silver metal spiky star sculpture.
“I am honored to be wearing Armani this evening,” Lady Gaga said in a statement. “The series of pieces Mr. Armani created for me are truly iconic; they represent not only beautiful fashion, but my spirit and essence as an artist. Mr. Armani is a fashion legend, and tonight would not have been the same without his touch, and his wonderful team.”
Out of this world!
The singer kicked off the night with her army of dancers in a theatrical version of “Poker Face” before welcoming Sir Elton John to the stage for a piano duet.
Wearing a sequined, bold shouldered green leotard by Armani Prive, the elaborate show included pyrotechnics and dramatic choreography.
“Take my picture, Hollywood. I want to be a star,” she bellowed, before pounding out the opening notes to her ballad “Speechless,” which she blended with John’s classic “Your Song.”  Elton customized his lyrics during their remix of ‘Your Song‘: “How wonderful life is with Gaga in the world!
Keeping with the rather flamboyant nature of both artists, show producers made sure their conjoined piano was topped with severed mannequin arms and clawed hands. The dynamic duo had matching sunglasses covered in glitzy jewels and was smudged with grease.
As the night drew to a close, Gaga took home 2 awards:Best Electronic / Dance Album forThe Fame and Best Dance Recording for “Poker Face”. “We won two grammy’s already little monsters + I dedicate them to u!”Gaga tweetedearlier in the evening. “I ruined my makeup crying! Look for little monster suprise [sic] on the piano.”
Taking her seat in the audience, the singer wore a silver crystal-encrusted sheer bodysuit paired with a huge silver spiky headpiece and matching fitted blazer.
At the end of the evening, Gaga hit the press room in her spiky headdress and crystal-encrusted sheer bodysuit, but changed into a matching shimmering strapless minidress. From the front, Gaga glowed like a disco-ball in a simple strapless design that was covered in silver crystals. When she revealed the back, my jaw dropped.
The hem of the dress slowly ruffled into a structured cascade, revealing her jeweled panties from behind. Also, we finally got to see the back of her sheer bodysuit, which appeared to have embellishments in the shape of her space. Business in the front and a party in the back. What a grand exit!

Once inside, Gaga more or less swept the awards, picking up 8 Moonmen (out of 13 total nominations). She changed outfits between awards, of course.

Her outfit of the night? Quite possibly, the one made of meat.
