Oh la la, it is so cold over here... Early sign off for me as the girls are released early from school today due to a winter ice storm. My weekend is going to be spent with heavy socks, lounge pants, by the fireplace. I won't even dare going out for my run as the roads are expected to be icy all weekend. This year, stars have taken over the decor scene. They are everywhere, especially right now, around the holiday season. There are so many alternatives out there. The chill is back over here, and it's colder than ever. I am not a cold weather gal, but these fireplaces make me wanna say "Hooray, it's cold outside!"

L'hiver est clairement arrivé, et il fait plus froid que jamais ici. Je ne suis pas une adepte des climats froids, mais ces coins cheminée me donnent clairement envie de décréter "Hourra, le froid est là!"

Oh, I like this mood board a whole lot. The home owner used an "empty" wall, you know the one wall we have in a room that can't seem large enough to hold a piece of furniture and stays most of the time empty. What a brilliant idea to furnish it as an inspirational mood board! Of course, I am also in love with all the vintage pieces and overall "bohemian" feel this space exhibits.

Oh, quelle bonne idée! La propriétaire de ce lieu a utilisé un mur "vide", vous savez, ces murs qu'on a toutes chez nous, ceux qui ne sont pas assez larges pour y poser un meuble... en mur d'inspiration sur toute sa hauteur! Bon, c'est sûr, je craque aussi sur les pièces vintage, et l'ambiance "bohémienne" chic du lieu.

There isn't much I don't absolutely love in this pic : first off, the colored-step stairs, obviously. What a fabulous idea, a perfect "think outside the box" example, just as I like them... And then, against these vibrant pops of color, the old brick exposed walls that have been kept untouched as if they were telling the story of the building. Perfect. And the moodboard that seems to follow the staircase. All black and white. This is not a staircase, this is an ode to beauty. J'aime pas, j'adore!

Il n'y a en fait pas grand chose que je n'aime pas dans cette image. Commençons par ce camaïeu de marches d'escalier déclinées "à la Pantone". Quelle superbe idée déco qui sort des recettes traditionnelles. Et contre cette explosion de couleur, des murs de vieilles briques exposées ici et là, comme pour raconter l'histoire du vieux bâtiment. Jusqu'ici, c'est beau, on est d'accord.  Mais quand on rajoute le mur d'inspiration d'images en noir et blanc qui semble épouser la montée d'escalier, là c'est l'apothéose. Ce n'est plus une montée d'escalier, c'est un hymne à la beauté. J'aime pas, j'adore!

Today, I'm loving this original moodboard that uses an old vintage pull down map system. A fantastic example of how a vintage piece can be repurposed into a new original use. J'aime pas, j'adore!

Aujourd'hui, je craque pour ce moodbaord/tableau d'inspiration qui utilise un vieux mécanisme de carte géographique à dérouler à l'ancienne. Un parfait exemple d'utilisation d'une pièce vintage, ancienne et tendrement désuète, réactualisée en moodbaord super original et plein de cachet. J'aime pas, j'adore!
