In yesterday's kitchen update reveal, you may have noticed the E-A-T letters above our cabinets. (Or you may not have - they are kind of small in the photo.) Today, I wanted to share with you how I created our "EAT" sign. You've probably seen similar letters all over blogland. They couldn't be easier to create, and they make a perfect focal point for any empty wall space in your kitchen.

All you need is one of those flimsy paper plates. You know the kind you never pick to use at a picnic? They are super cheap for a reason. About $1.50 for 100 at Walmart. I saw these baskets somewhere and thought they were super cute so I decided to but a pack of plates and now I'm good for all the holidays... for the next 50 years or so, or until the kids move out, which ever comes first. ;)Filed Under: Valentines
Today, I'm loving this concrete and porcelain desk lamp spotted in this fab' online store [that ships worldwide, yay to that!]. What a great idea to use two mineral, yet opposite, materials [concrete and porcelain], and add a pop of color with the electrical wire. This lamp has so much personality! I'd love to sport it in my minimalist office.
