A Chair Fit For A King!

FINALLY! I got to finish a piece of furniture!  Don't get me wrong, I love my crafts, but there is just something about seeing the transformation of an ugly, beat up piece of furniture!

I bought this beauty at the same estate sale as my mirror.  There were geese, roosters, and dogs running everywhere!  We actually had to cut our yardsaling short that afternoon because my car began to stink like poop after we put this chair in it.  To say this estate sale was nasty would be an understatement!

If you've been around you know my old fabric phobia.  I almost had to bust out a hazmat suit to remove the fabric from this chair.  It had rained the night before and between being damp and having farm stank I almost threw up!  The 'upholstry' was actually and old fishing blanket cut up.

I was going to paint this chair aqua, but at the last second I decided to paint it this vibrant blue and distress down to the white.  So glad I did!!  I used my Sherwin Williams paint - can I just say I love that stuff!!  I recovered the chair with some funky fur fabric and now it sits in my office!

I love the white peeking out from under the blue!

Wouldn't this chair be fun paired with orange! My mum finally bloomed!

Details of the back!

The wispy fur reminds me of a balding man and his thin hair! ;)

It's hard to tell from the photos, but this chair is king-size!  It reminds me of a king's throne!  This, however, will be the queen's throne!

Cheers!
