American Picker's Store (Antique Archaeology)
Wednesday, July 18, 2012
Over a month ago we went to Nashville for a weekend trip and while we were there we stopped in the American Picker's store (Antique Archaeology). The line looked a lot worse than it really was- we waited maybe 15 minutes at the most. It was so cool to see things actually picked by Mike and Frank from the TV show and then seeing it being sold in their store.
This old distressed cabinet had to be my most favorite piece in their store!
Just look at the layers of chippy paint. . . and those drawers.
The repurposed lamps and lighting completely had my creative wheels spinning. I loved how they turned porcelain lights, old funnels, and metal buckets into wall sconces, lamps, and pendant lights.
Unfortunately, we didn't buy any merchandise, except t-shirts. :) Everything was so pricey, but the experience and inspiration was worth going. If you're ever in Nashville you should definitely check it out.
Thanks for stopping by.
