I've invited some friends over for an Easter egg hunt in a few weeks. I wanted to make some treat bags for the kids on a budget. I found a package of four bags for a dollar at the Dollar Tree. They are called felt bags, however, they are not really felt at all.   You can find them in the arts and crafts section there.  Then I took a cookie cutter I had and traced out some bunny heads on fabric. Then I used some adhesive to attach them to the bags.
So far I have the bag filled with the a little foam bunny or chick kit that I found at Joann Fabrics for a dollar each. I'm sure I'll be able to find some other goodies for the bag.

Thanks for stopping by!

I made this bunny jar from a lemonade bottle I had bought at Whole Foods last week. I simply used some Martha Stewart multi surface paint and painted the inside of the jar. I used some pipe cleaners, scrapbook paper, a small pink pom and and marker to create the bunny.  It's going to be the perfect addition to the spring mantel I'm working on right now. I was inspired by this Halloween Pin.

It was a quick project done in the first 10 minutes of nap time. Can't beat that. Thanks for stopping by!

I found a super cute flag on the Pottery Barn site a few weeks ago.  I show the version I was inspired from below. My version was $4 compared to the $39 PB price tag.  I simply used a burlap sack, painted a bunny in some leftover black paint and then used my Silhouette for the first time to create some lettering for the sack.  I plan on putting this up on a flag pole when Easter time rolls around.  I just used some adhesive at the top to make a fold at the top to place a flag pole through it. Wynn helped me paint the bunny on the sack and I tried to let it look a little distressed by allowing some of the paint to be a little lighter in some areas.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Here's a quick and belated Easter Post.
This is my Easter Banner.  I cut egg shapes out of scrapbook paper and pasted it to Cardstock to give it sturdyness.
I made some Chicks and a Bunny too.
Then I tied each piece together with ribbon.
 A few more views.
Now for the Basket.  Super easy and cheap.  A stack of 100 plates was less than $2 at Walmart.  I'll be good for baskets for a long time.  It needs to be the regular old paper ones.
Cut a 4 inch square out of paper for a template.
Center the square and lightly trace around the square.  These will be your fold lines.
Now cut from the edge of the paper plate to the corner of the square you drew.
Fold up on the fold line and press.  You can use a bone folder here or just your fingernail to get a nice firm crease.
Now fold in the corners like shown.
 Continue all the way around.
With your glue stick glue the corners to each other to form the basket.
 Finished.
Now fill and decorate.  I just tied some cute ribbon around the basket, but scrapbook paper would be very cute too.  Be as detailed and creative as you want to be.
I used my paper shredder and some green printer paper to make the grass.  I really hate the plastic grass they sell at the store.  It gets everywhere.  This way when they are done it all goes into Recycle.

Happy Easter!
